Privacy

Your account. Your email address and a password, held by our authentication provider — we never see the password itself. Your name, if you give one.

Your store. The store name, a short description, your city and neighbourhood, and a store photo if you upload one.

Your items. Photos, titles, descriptions, prices and categories for anything you list.

Activity between neighbours. Messages you send through Nice.to, items you reserve, pickup times you propose or confirm, and stores you follow.

Email records. Which notification emails we sent you and when, so we can avoid sending you the same thing twice.

We do not ask for your street address, and there is nowhere on Nice.to to enter one. Your store shows your city and neighbourhood — nothing narrower.

Where and when to meet for a pickup is arranged between you and the other person, in your own words, after you have both agreed. Nice.to never publishes a meeting place.

When you use the listing helper, the photo you upload is sent to Google's Gemini API, which suggests a title, description, category and price. You see every suggestion and can change it before anything is published.

Photos you publish are public: anyone with your store link can see them. Check what is in the background of a photo before you post it.

We keep the list short, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

• Supabase — the database, sign-in, and photo storage.
• Vercel — hosting, plus privacy-friendly page-view analytics that do not use cookies and do not identify you.
• Resend — sending the emails described below.
• Google (Gemini API) — the listing helper described above.

We send two kinds of email. Notifications about your own activity — a neighbour messaging you, reserving an item, or proposing a pickup. And updates — a store you follow adding items, a new follower, or a nudge about an empty shelf.

Every update email has a one-click unsubscribe link in it that needs no sign-in. You can also turn updates off at any time in your store settings. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

Email us and we will delete your account, your store, your listings and your photos. Messages already delivered to another person stay in that person's inbox on Nice.to, the same way a sent text message does.

You can also delete individual listings yourself at any time from your store.

Nice.to does not process payments today. Reserving an item and arranging a pickup is free, and money changes hands between you and the other person directly. If that ever changes, this page will change first.
