Do I need a sign to open a store?
No. You can open a free digital store and share its link without requesting a sign. The QR yard sign is an additional, optional way for nearby people to discover your store.
Is it really free?
Yes. Opening your store, listing items, and requesting a sign are all free — no upfront or monthly fees. When secure in-app payments launch, we'll take a small commission only when an item actually sells.
When does the sign arrive?
We print and ship in batches. As soon as yours is on its way, we'll email you — your store is already live in the meantime.
Is my address safe?
Your address is used only to mail your sign to the right house. It is never printed on the sign itself and never shown publicly. Your sign and your store both display your store name and neighbourhood — never your street or house number.
What does the sign show?
Your store name, your neighbourhood, and a QR code that opens your store in a browser. It never shows your exact address.
Do I have to sell anything?
No. Open your store and list whenever you like — there's no obligation and no minimum.
How do I get paid?
A buyer reserves the item and proposes a pickup time with you through Nice.to; for now you settle in person at the handoff. Payments through Nice.to, with funds held until pickup, are planned for a later release.
What if I'm not in Mississauga?
We're launching in Mississauga as our first neighbourhood, so we're prioritizing dense blocks there. Request a sign anyway — we'll let you know as we expand to the rest of the GTA.
